ELKE SOLOMON

Elke Solomon lives in New York City. She has taught at Parsons School of Design, Columbia University, City College of New York, Feminist Art Institute, Princeton University, Portland State University, and Pratt Institute of Arts. She has been awarded numerous grants including CAPS, NEA and a Residency Grant, Piedmont, Italy, 2000-08.

Group exhibitions include: Women Choose Women Again, Visual Arts Center for New Jersey, Summit, NJ, 2014; Momentum: 8 Women, 8 Singular Voices, Hudson Guild Gallery, NYC, 2013; Parsons Pink Slips, George Adams Gallery, NYC, 2009; Josh Blackwell, Barbara Hatfield, Sophia Petrides, Jacob Robichaux, Elke Solomon, Dinaburg Arts, NYC, 2003. Solomon is included in the collections of Metropolitan Museum of Art, Cincinnati Art Museum, Philadelphia Museum of Art, Museum of Contemporary Art (Chicago), The Brooklyn Museum, Yale University Art Gallery, and Provincetown Art Museum and others.
