In these monoprints Sue Oehme utilizes cast-off objects from her print studio to create other-worldly structural compositions filled with color and texture. Comprised of hundreds of inked plates, scraps of board, plexiglass, watercolored sheets of vellum, and other ephemera the prints have a mid-century modern vibe. Each print is unique: created within the constraints of a series with a similar color palette.
Sue Oehme has exhibited nationally for the past 30 years. She was recently named a 100-Colorado Creative for 2018 by Westword Magazine. Her work was included in a four-person exhibition Connected by Color at the Arvada Center for the Arts in 2018, and will be in a three-person exhibition in late 2019 at SPACE Gallery in Denver. Her works are included in numerous private and corporate collections including the Art Bank Collection of the US State Department. She is the owner and Master Printer of Oehme Graphics in Steamboat Springs, CO.
